The 2010 Shimano North American Handmade Bicycle Show kicked off this morning in Richmond, VA. When I first heard the news that this year’s show would take place in Richmond (less than 400 miles away from me), I was pretty excited. Unfortunately though, I have a conflict this weekend and can’t make it to Richmond after all. As much as I want to be there, I am just going to have to rely on web coverage like many of you. Luckily, there shouldn’t be any shortage of good coverage from some of the other bike bloggers out there.
Ed Ip, who is covering the show for Cyclelicious, has already posted a couple of times today. He promises to upload more photos soon, so keep an eye on the posts in Cyclelicious’ NAHBS-2010 category for updates throughout the weekend. Also at Cyclelicious, check out the long list of Twitter users at NAHBS …sure to be another great source of show news.
Arleigh, of Bike Shop Girl and Commute by Bike, will be covering the show for both of her blogs, as well as for Versus and CyclingNews. Sounds like she has a pretty busy weekend ahead.
UrbanVelo has already posted some great pictures from day 1 (including the one shown with this post). Keep watching that site for what I am sure will be excellent coverage throughout the weekend.
Finally, I will mention the NAHBS 2010 Flickr group, for anyone in attendance who wants to upload his or her photos. As EcoVelo pointed out this morning, that pool is sure to fill up throughout the weekend.

Richmond’s own RVA News has some photos up from the show as well.
John — great job on your photos, and I think you were the first to post a good set up to Flickr this morning!
And James, thanks so much for the link love!
Great photos, John. Thanks for adding the link.
…and Richard, you are always welcome.
I attended the show and posted a video with my photos on youtube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJ9eP85FP7Q
Great video, Mike. Thanks for sharing it.
