I don’t have much time today, but I do have several links that I want to pass along, so I will do my best to quickly cram as much as possible into a short post.
Pictured here is a shot, by Giovanni Canitano, from the Pret a Rouler fashion show, which took place last week in London. Seven London designers showed a mix of urban fashions to wear on a bike. See more pictures at Velorution here, here, here, and here.
Bike Hugger posted a picture of a prototype Dura Ace carbon crank.
To celebrate their 75th anniversary, Campagnolo is holding the Bora art contest, which is well underway. Design new graphics for the wheels and you could win one of three Campy equipped bikes that they are giving away. Sounds like fun, I might submit an entry. Let’s just hope that my previous posts about Campagnolo don’t influence the judges.
Someone filmed an interesting Craig Calfee lecture and put it on Youtube. Via quickrelease.tv.
The Jano bike has been a very popular post on Bicycle Design lately. The Goat posted another wooden bike this week, the Waldmeister. Interesting, but I still like the clean contemporary lines of the Jano.
A reader, Jason, pointed out the Spanbike, which can be seen here. At first glance, it reminds me of one of the old Slingshot frames (with quite a few extra cables).
Another reader, Marcus pointed out the GreenMachine from Flevobike/Netherlands. I am no recumbent expert, but it looks nice to me.
I feel like I am leaving something out, but I will think of it later. For now, I am all out of time. Have a great weekend everyone.
