Design House Stockholm bike basket

Earlier this year, I posted about bike related products that were spotted at the Salon del Mobile furniture fair in Milan and at ICFF in New York. In keeping with the theme of bike products at major furniture shows, I looked for something from Maison & Objet, which just wrapped up last week in Paris. So far this ornate green basket from Design House Stockholm is the only bike related product that I have seen from that show. I am sure there were a few more. If anyone was at the show last week and saw something related to bikes let me know.

You are probably the only guy alive that is equally excited about a pink bike basket as a Cervelo P3 Carbon.

Hey, wait a minute Robo. I get excited over green baskets not pink ones. Good point though. Usually a scan of my latest posts reveals a pretty diverse selection of bike related products. Just between you and me though, if someone offered me a free Carbon P3 or a free plastic basket, I would most likely go with the P3 (Cervelo, are you listening?)

I don’t have any bikes with a basket, but my daughter has one on her bike. She always gets to carry the snacks when we ride to the park, which seems to give her the impression that she is in charge of the ride. So there you go, baskets = power. Maybe I should put one on my road bike.

Also found at Scandinavian Details in San Francisco or online. There’s a shopping basket version, too.
