Manuel López Revol sent me an image of this bike, which he designed about four years ago as a student of Industrial Design at Universidad Nacional de Córdoba in Argentina. The project, which about 100 students participated in, involved designing a bike that was inspired by insects. Mosquitoes served as the inspiration for Manuel’s concept, an urban transportation oriented bike called the Civis. The Civis concept features an expandable bag under the frame for carrying one’s personal belongings.
