Neil Pryde Bikes design competition finalists

A couple months ago, I mentioned Neil Pryde Bikes’ competition to design a custom graphics scheme, on the theme of ‘Freedom’, for their Diablo model frameset. The top 5 designs are now up on their website, where you can vote for your favorite. When I saw the finalists, I was immediately drawn to two of them, but I had a fairly easy time narrowing down to my clear favorite. I don’t want to sway anyone, so I won’t say which one I picked, but I encourage you to check them out and vote for your favorite.

Speaking of voting, don’t forget that Bicycle Design is nominated for ‘best Lifestyle biking blog’ at Cranklisted. You can vote everyday until June 1st, so vote early and often.

Cool .. No.5 hits the spot for me.

I’m digging the earth/sky/cloud tones of #2 as an expression of freedom. I also like the idea of #4; makes me want to go print off a bunch of Dilbert comics on sticky paper and slap them onto my bike. 🙂

    #5 for sure.

No 5 is cool, but I’d go for no 2.

Took 3 seconds to see No5 is the best design. Of course, being a popularity contest, the most mediocre one will probably win.

Does anyone think that this is just a sneaky way for Neil Pryde to get cheap design work and advertising for free? 1000 USD and a frame, for dozens and dozens of good ideas… great value (for Neil Pryde).
