People may claim that nobody is going to ride through North Dakota, and everything is “too spread out,” but that begs the question of why we have an Interstate highway system from Seattle to Minneapolis or Chicago to Denver.

FWIW, my hometown is an hour’s drive from straight down I-35, but I have never been able to find a route that doesn’t double the distance and/or put me on some shoulderless 55MPH suburban “roads.” I’ve been looking for ten years.
