Welcome to BicycleDesign.net

Header for BicycleDesign.netI am assuming that the majority of you are landing here from the old blogspot domain. Don’t worry…it is still the same blog, but the new site will be even better. After 4 1/2 years on Blogger, Bicycle Design is finally moving to a dedicated URL powered by WordPress. The new format offers much greater flexibility, so I will be able to do some of the things that I just couldn’t do with Blogger.

I will be learning as I go with the new site (I’m already a little intimidated by some of the PHP code), so there may still be a few minor issues to iron out. I am still messing with categories and some of the pages, but that should all come together soon. In the mean time, if you run across anything that doesn’t seem to be right, please let me know with a comment or an email.

The old Feedburner feed will soon be updated to pull from this site’s feed, so if you already subscribe to it you shouldn’t really notice a difference. If you are subscribed to the old Blogger Atom feed though, you will need to re-subscribe to the RSS feed for this new site to continue receiving updates.

If you have bookmarks or sidebar links to the old site, please take a minute to update them to BicycleDesign.net. Also, if you can help spread the word about the new URL, it would be greatly appreciated. It may take a while to transfer all that positive Google juice from the old domain, but in the long run, I think Bicycle Design will be much better at this new location. I am pretty excited about it.

I’ll break in your blog by pointing out that the Feedburner feed is untitled. It shows up as “(title unknown)” in Google Reader, at least. The Blogspot feed is OK.

Thanks Champs! Was it http://feeds.feedburner.com/BicycleDesign or https://bicycledesign.net/feed/ that showed up as untitled. Either way, I think I have the issue fixed now. Let me know if it is not resolved…and thanks again for letting me know.

Hi Jeff, Sorry about that…I am working on it. Right now the post to post redirect from Blogger seems to be working with Firefox, Safari, and Chrome, but not with IE. You can use one of those browsers as a workaround until I figure out how to get Explorer to recognize the redirects.

Internet Explorer 8 is very good because it is as stable as Opera. I hate the previous versions of IE like IE6 because it hangs frequently.
