anon 5:56, what is your point? I am sure that many good blogs are missing from any list, haphazardly complied or otherwise. Does this blog fit into the category of ones that "suck with advertising left and right"? If that is the case, I should point out that I only have advertising on the right.

bgw, thanks; the props are much appreciated.

canoelover, no I don't know anyone at liquidlogic, but I do like to paddle every once in a while. I have a pretty old canoe and, on the subject of vintage, an even older kayak- a late eighties Perception Dancer. Speaking of Perception, they are located here and I know one of the designers who reads my blog occasionally.

You know the folks at liquidlogic (the kayak folks)? They'd like you, I think...most of them cycle as well. They're between Flat Rock and Dana on an old apple farm.

And as far as vintage comebacks...not surprising. It's happening in whitewater kayaks as well, getting away from the rodeo tricks and back to simply running rivers and enjoying it like we did 20 years ago.

James,

Enjoyed the Core77 Shoe contest, thanks for the link. Favorite was the Nike retirement slippers for Lance, but after his Leadville 2nd it's clear he won't be settling into a recliner anytime soon.

I think I saw that Cannondale bike mentioned in the Olympic article when I visited their factory earlier this summer. If you ever get a chance to go their it is top notch. One of their engineers gave the tour and it was the best factory tour i have been on.
