Race weekend is coming

I haven’t mentioned it yet this year, but I am once again excited about the USA Cycling Championships that will be taking place right here in Greenville, SC this coming weekend. Just like last year, I will be riding in the Palmetto Peloton Project Ride, which will take place on Sunday, the same day as the road race. This year, we will ride on the same course that the pros will ride that afternoon. Riders can do as many laps as they want of the 23-mile course, which includes the climb over Paris Mountain, in the allotted time period. The pros will be doing 5 laps for a total of 110 miles. I will probably just shoot for 3 laps (we’ll see how ambitious I feel). Anyway, online registration for the ride is open two more days until Wednesday. If any of you plan to be in Greenville for the race, I encourage you to sign up and ride. It is for a great cause and was a fun, well-supported ride last year. I expect the same this time around.

I have quite a backlog of emails from readers of this blog at the moment. Thanks for all the messages, but please bear with me. I am extremely busy right now with work and other projects, so it may take a while to get to some of your emails. Even though I have a hard time answering the growing number of messages that I am receiving these days, I read them all. I wish I had the time to respond to each of them, but I only have a couple of hours a week to devote to Bicycle Design. Oh well, the blog is growing and that is a good thing. Keep the tips, comments, and messages coming.

I’ll be riding the Paris Mountain (P3) course out of CT Saturday morning (as usual) @8am.

And yes, I will be shooting both the TT and the Road Race. Booyah!

I haven’t seen you on the CT ride the last few times I’ve been. Obviously, I won’t be there Saturday since I am doing 3P, but I’ll probably run into you sometime this weekend. I’ll be shooting both races as well.
