Materials in Bicycles Conference

I mentioned the Materials in Bicycles Conference late last year, but with the 2007 Tour de France set to kick of in London in just a few weeks, it is worth mentioning again. Dr. Alex Moulton, Chris Boardman, Mike Burrows, Cannondale engineer Chris Dodman, and several others are set to speak at the conference, which will take place in London on Friday, July 6th, a day before the Prologue. Based on this lineup of speakers, the event promises to be a great one. I really wish I could be in London next month to hear what these guys have to say about the materials used in today’s bicycles. If you want to learn more about the conference and see a complete schedule of the day’s events, check out this recent article on BikeBiz.

My post is fairly short today, but I have a longer one over at Bike Greenville for any of you who are interested. Though a letter to the editor of our local newspaper yesterday prompted the post, I think that it applies to cyclists and drivers everywhere. Check it out here and let me know what you think.
