A bit more from Sea Otter and a couple design jobs

Yesterday, I noticed this picture of an interesting Specialized Globe electric bike prototype on Bike Commuters. I have seen similar details on a few of Specialized’s previous concept bikes, so I am guessing that Robert Egger was the designer behind this one as well (correct me if I’m wrong). Anyway, Check out the Bike Commuters site out for additional pictures and coverage from Sea Otter.

Though he wasn’t actually at Sea Otter, Graham also has a good wrap up of the event on Go Clipless. The post features many links (and a lot of news about new 29ers).

The rest of this post has nothing to do with Specialized or Sea Otter, but I thought it might interest a few readers of this blog. I received my IDSA newsletter today and noticed a couple of bike industry design positions advertised. QBP is looking for an industrial designer for the Salsa Cycles and Surly Bikes brands. You can find out more and apply for the position on the QBP website. Fox Racing wants to hire a designer to “create the best MX and Bike ID products possible.” Check the Fox site for more on that one.
