The new XTR design

This is a bold new look for Shimano’s top end mountain group. As expected, the design looks good. I really like the giant “X” on the rear derailleur, but I can’t say that I like it quite as much on the brake lever/shifter (see more pictures and read the official press release from Shimano on Bike Biz). It will be interesting to see how they carry the embossed X theme through the rest of the group. I can’t wait to see it all, especially the crankset.
